Daimler revealed recently the new 2016 Mercedes C63 AMG DTM, which is based on the coupe version of the high-performance German car. The 2016 Mercedes C63 AMG DTM measures 5,010 mm in length, 1,950 mm in width, 1,210 mm in height and it has a 2,750 mm long wheelbase. Mercedes equips their 2016 DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters) racer with a 120-litre tank. The 2016 Mercedes-AMG C63 DTM is built using a carbon fiber monocoque chassis with a steel roll cage and it features front, lateral and rear crash structures. Its bonnet, doors, side panels and wings are all made of carbon fiber. The 2016 C63 DTM comes with several aerodynamic aids, including a wider wheel arches, a new front splitter, modified side panels, a flat bottom, front and rear diffusers, and a huge rear wing.

The 2016 Mercedes C63 AMG DTM is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 engine that develops 360 KW at 7500 rpm and 500 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transverse-mounted gearbox and a rear-wheel-drive system. The 2016 C63 AMG DTM comes with pneumatically operated sequential gear shift paddles on the steering wheel, a mechanical differential lock without traction control, a carbon fiber driveshaft, and a 3-plate carbon fiber clutch. Mercedes-AMG equips the 2016 C63 DTM with a double wishbone suspension on all four corners with pushrods, carbon ceramic brakes and 18-inch racing wheels.
