Mercedes launched a new promotional video showing the new C63 AMG Coupe in some very cool drifting action. Stunt driver Greg Tracy drifts the new C63 AMG Coupe Merc in the figure of eight, around two C63 AMG sedans. Mercedes wants to point out that no C63 AMGs were hurt in the filming of this clip. If you happen to own these types of monsters, please don't try this at home. The stunts were performed on an enclosed course, by professional drivers.
The Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe is the latest model to come out of the Affalterbach factory in Germany. It's powered by the new 5.5-liter V8 biturbo engine which, in this application, develops 487 hp and 600 Nm of torque. Mercedes says that the new coupe C63 is able to get from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.5 seconds and that it has a top speed of 250 km/h.
