Dante Rubli, an artist based in Bern, Switzerland, announced that it will premiere the 24-Karat gold replica of the Ferrari 250 GTO at the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The Ferrari 250 GTO is not the only classic model Dante has worked on. He also made replicas of the Aston Martin DB5 and the original Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing. his scale replicas are sculpted from various materials, including wood, steel, gold and platinum.
Apart from the 24-karat gold version, the Ferrari 250 GTO is also available in white gold, silver and other luxury materials. The golden Ferrari 250 GTO replica will be available in 10 unit only. Dante did not announce its price though.
The world premiere of the 24-karat gold 250 GTO took place in Monaco, where it was unveiled by British television and radio presenter, Chris Evans. Chris is currently the owner of an original Ferrari 250 GTO, chassis number 4675 GT, which is one of the most expensive cars in the world.
