Apparently, this Ferrari 288 GTO holds the AA\BFMS speed record at 275.4mph, record that was established on the Bonneville Salt Flats. The Ferrari 288 GTO managed to do a down run of 276.152mph and a return run of 274.650mph. The video's description says that the fastest Ferrari in the world managed, in unofficial circumstances, to get to a top speed of 292.3mph. The Ferrari 288 GTO that established the record on the Bonneville Salt Flats is equipped with a 540 cubic inch BBC with twin Borg Warner 80mm turbochargers. The Ferrari 288 GTO managed to pull boost levels of up to 17lbs during record runs.
