Alcraft Royal College of Art Range Rover Evoque

 »  »  »

This modified Range Rover Evoque was designed by students from the British Royal College of Art (RCA) Vehicle Design program, as part of a competition initiated by the Alcraft Motor Company. The theme of the competition was to redesign the Evoque while taking inspiration from British icons. They could use source of inspiration, from the Jaguar E-Type, to the Burberry coat. The best new designs for the Range Rover Evoque came from Jed Sheehan, Minwoo Hwang and Pierre Andlauer. Their inspiration came from highly engineered bicycle equipment, and tailored suits. They used leather to cover the exterior of the Evoque, and integrated the spare wheel into the bodywork, just as seen in the classic Land Rover Defender.

Matthew Humphries, the designer of the Morgan Aeromax, the Life Car, the Plus 8, the Eva GT, and the Aero Supersports, showed his appreciation for the new designs.
