HWA is the official DTM partner of Mercedes and they also developed the CLK-GTR (photo). HWA was founded by Hans-Werner Aufrecht back in 1967 (Herr Aufrecht is also one of the founders of AMG). The latest news about the current HWA projects refer to a new high-performance Mercedes placed between the SL55 AMG and the Mercedes SLR.
The Qatar firm NBK (Nasser Bin Khaled) has bought 25% of the HWA shares, at 27 Euro per share, and this will grant it a spot in HWA’s Supervisory Board.
