Aston Martin has released today the details of the new AMR One - a new LMP1 race car developed from scratch. The Aston Martin AMR One is powered by a 6-cylinder, inline, turbocharged and intercooled DOHC Petrol engine with direct injection that outputs around 540 hp. The Aston Martin AMR One is fitted with a 6 speed, transverse, semi automatic pneumatic shift, Xtrac racing transmission and a Koni suspensions system. The electronics, engine ECU, data system and telemetry of the Aston Martin AMR One have been developed by Cosworth.

Aston Martin's AMR One weighs just 900 kg and measures 4640mm in length, 1990mm in width, and has a 2930mm wheelbase. The aerodynamics of the new racer have been developed via CFD in

conjunction with Totalsim and comply with the current LMP1 regulations.

The Aston Martin AMR One has been developed to compete in the full Intercontinental Le Mans Cup and will be driven by Darren Turner (GB), Stefan Mücke (D) and Adrian Fernandez (MX), Andy Meyrick (GB) and Harold Primat (CH).
