Aston Martin revealed today their own branded cell phone concept, called the CTP002. Although most of you would expect a mobile phone to be premiered at an electronics convention, Aston Martin's will not. In fact Aston will debut their new cell phone at the BaselWorld, a watch and jewelry show in Switzerland. Taking into account the phone's design, we kind of understand their choice. Yes, Aston's cell phone concept is transparent when not in use.
Apart from fulfilling all you mobile phone needs, the new cell is also a key for your Aston, and it can connect to your car's display via Bluetooth. Aston Martin's cell works together with FourSquare to show your current location and that of your friends directly on the car's GPS navigation display.
The phone's camera can be set to update your Facebook and Twitter account while on the move with images of passing cities/landmarks.
Aston Martin went even further with their cell phone, and integrated it into the car's safety systems. The airbags will received information, in case of crash, from the phone’s accelerometer. This will enable a safer deployment together with a more appropriate seatbelt stiffening.
The new Aston Martin Cell Phone is built around a solid sapphire crystal, see-through capacitive touch screen, while it sides are made from platinum. their include the battery, electronics, and SIM card.
Aston Martin did not name its price yet for the new cell phone.
