The British press has revealed today the initial Audi A9 info. We bet you're wondering right now just how big it's going to be, right? The Audi A8 is already the size of the moon... Well, the Audi A9 will probably be a four-door coupe version of the A8 actually. This means they'll be roughly of similar sizes. The British press speculates that the new Audi A9 will try to compete with the Porsche Panamera.
Recent rumors also say that the VW Group, which also owns Audi and Bugatti, is planning to build a new luxury saloon based on the A8 that will replace the Bugatti. Could this new saloon be called the Audi A9? These are also just rumors at the moment.
The Audi A9 has not been given the green light for production yet, but company insiders say its in the books.
The Audi A9 may benefit from an aluminum spaceframe chassis, built on the MLB architecture. The same sources speculate that Lamborghini will build the Estoque on the same platform developed for the Audi A9.
