Last month a rumor emerged of a new Audi model that will celebrate the success of the Quattro rally cars of the 1980's. Today new information became available about this car, including the concept's name - Audi Project Anniversario. As reported, the Audi Project Anniversario will be based on the S5 and will hide under its bonnet a twin-turbo V6 engine with a power output of 425 hp.
The Audi Project Anniversario will have shorter overhangs in comparison to the standard S5, new body panels and will weigh around 1,400 kg. To save weight, the Audi Project Anniversario will have a smaller air conditioning unit, lighter seats and a modified interior. The drivetrain of the Audi Project Anniversario will use lighter and stronger parts.
The Audi Project Anniversario is expected to come in 2012.
