 »  »  »

In a recent interview, Ian Robertson, BMW's head of brand sales, confirmed that the ultra luxury X7 crossover is currently in development. The BMW X7 is going to be sold in two versions: a seven-seater and a high-end version with just four seats and a distinctive look. The four-seat version of the BMW X7 is expected to be priced at around $100,000 USD. The BMW X7 comes as an answer to the Maybach version of the Mercedes GL. The exterior design of the BMW X7 is going to be different in comparison to the current X5. Even though exact details have not been released, BMW is expected to launch the new X7 sometime in 2018. Rolls Royce is expected to launch an SUV in two year's time as an answer to the Bentley Bentayga. However, the BMW X7 will not share any components with it.

The BMW X7 is going to be built on a monocoque chassis. It is going to be sold with both petrol and diesel engines. Unfortunately, the German car manufacturer did not disclose any other technical specifications regarding their future crossover. We'll have more details regarding the BMW X7 as soon as they are available.
