The M50d engine from BMW is one of the most powerful diesel powertrains available on the market today. So far, BMW is offering it just on their larger models, such as the 5 Series, the X5 and the X6. BBM Motorsport managed to squeeze the massive powerplant inside a BMW 3 Series estate. The base vehicle is a BMW E91 330d LCI with 245 hp. After the engine swap, the BMW M350d has a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder in-line diesel engine with three turbos, 381 hp and 740 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to the 8-speed automatic transmission. BBM did not stop here. After remapping the engine's ECU, they manage to take their BMW M350d up to an output of 440 hp and 850 Nm of torque. As a result, the BMW M350d manages to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.9 seconds, and from 100 km/h to 200 km/h in 9.8 seconds. According to BBM, their M350d is able to reach a top speed of 184 mph (296 km/h).
BBM's BMW M350d is also fitted with the front and rear axles of an M3 E92. The LSD goes from o to 100% and the car's final drive ratio is 2.81 to 1. The BBM BMW M350d comes equipped with 8.5x19 ET35 Z-Performance ZP10 rims at the front with 225/35-19 Michelin Pilot Sport tires and 9.5x19 ET35 wheels with 255/30-19 tires at the rear. The car sits on an adjustable KW Clubsport coilover suspension. The car comes with Stoptech brakes with 380x35 mm discs and 6-piston calipers at the front and 355x32 mm discs and 4-piston calipers at the rear.
At the interior, the BBM M350d Bimmer features an Alcantara-covered steering wheel, Recaro seats, and several other bespoke trim parts.
