BMW 1 Series and 3 Series Performance Edition

BMW announced today two new Performance Edition models based on the 1 Series and the 3 Series, made to celebrate the company's sponsorship of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The BMW 1 Series Performance Edition features M aerodynamic body kit, dark chrome 18-inch M light alloy rims, a High-gloss Shadowline exterior trim, a dark chrome exhaust tailpipe and dark line rear lights. BMW also equips the Performance Edition of the 1 Series with an M Sport Suspension, for improved handling. The interior of the 1 Series Performance Edition offers sport seats with Royal Blue stitching, an M Sport multi-function leather steering wheel and gearshift lever, and floor mats with Royal Blue piping. Lots of 2012 London badges are also included.

The 1 Series Performance Edition package, which is priced at 1,500 GBP, is available with the 116i, 116d and 118d three- and five-door models. The price list of the new Performance Edition range starts at 19,530 GBP OTR for the BMW 116i three-door.

The BMW 3 Series Performance Edition package includes an M body kit, obviously, sport multi-function leather steering wheel, sport seats, floor mats, 18-inch light alloy wheels, chrome exhaust tips, and of course, badges. BMW prices the 3 Series Performance Edition from 23,195 GBP OTR for the 318i.



BMW's new Performance Edition models are available in Alpine White, Titanium Silver, Bluewater and Black Sapphire.
