This is the first time a 2012 BMW 1 Series 3-door prototype has been spied and we're sure the 5-door version is somewhere hidden too. The 2012 BMW 1 Series 3-door is expected to go on sale next year, with its 5-door brother coming soon after.
The good new is that the 2012 BMW 1 Series 3-door and 5-door hatch may get the 135i engine which outputs 305 hp. This unit makes a serious tool out of the 1 Series Coupe, so the new 2012 1 Series 3-door may also be a driver's car.

The 2012 BMW 1 Series 3-door will have a re-designed front fascia, with a larger front grille and new air intakes. The rear end of the 2012 BMW 1 Series 3-door will most probably also get a new design, with fresh light clusters and a new bumper.
