BMW released today the first images of the new 1 Series Performance Accessories range, which is available for the 2012 5-door hatchback model. BMW's new range of performance accessories for the 2012 1 Series 5-door will have its world debut at this year's Frankfurt auto show, alongside the actual hatch. For the exterior of the 5-dor hatch, the BMW 1 Series Performance Accessories program includes a new lightweight bicycle rack, which is designed to fit on the ball of the tow bar, and is able to carry two bikes.

BMW's new accessories range for the 2012 1 Series also includes a new performance aerodynamics package, featuring a new front bumper, a re-designed rear apron with a small integrated

diffuser and new side skirts. The 2012 BMW 1 Series 5-door can also be fitted with a performance suspension system, a new low weight 18-inch brake system with a high thermal resistance, and 19-inch light alloy wheels.

BMW is also offering a new power kit, which can be installed on the 135i and on the 335i. The new kit ups the output of the 3.0-liter Bimmers by 15 kW/20 hp to 240 kW/326 hp and 430 Nm (6-speed manual transmission version) or 450 Nm (7-speed double-clutch sports automatic model) of torque at 1,500 rpm.

For the interior of the 2012 1 Series, BMW also offers various interior accessories, including all-weather floor mats, a ski and snowboard bag, a combined CD and spectacles bag and a very cool sports steering wheel.

The price for the new parts in BMW's 1 Series Performance Accessories catalog will be announced at a later date.
