The BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage had its world debut last weekend at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. As you're probably imagining, the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage is meant to celebrate the classic 3.0 CSL from the 1970s. The new BMW 3.0 CSL comes with intelligent lightweight construction and high performance and it's mean to bring the classic coupe in the 21st century. So far BMW did not mention anything about putting it into production, but we believe this is a strong possibility. The BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage comes with aluminum bonnet, boot and wings, and Plexiglas windows. BMW says it is a full 200 kg lighter than the original vehicle. When building the 3.0 CSL Hommage made extensive use of carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) too.

The BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage comes with an aggressive exterior design featuring budging wheel arches, unique air deflectors, massive spoilers, a large rear spoiler and small rear-view cameras. all these body elements are meant to improve air flow around the car and to increase downforce. The BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage is also equipped with the Air Curtain and Air Breather systems, Laser and LED lights, and a carbon-fiber front splitter. The concept sits on 21-inch light alloy wheels, with air control blades in the interstices of the wheel rims. There's also a massive rear diffuser and a roof spoiler.

At the interior, the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage features carbon fiber trim parts, wood-like instrument panel, an central eBoost charging display, a central display on the steering column, bucket seats, a six-point belt, red anodized safety features, two helmets integrated into the transmission tunnel, LED strips, and various other racing inspired styling elements.
