BMW announced today that it will launch a new version of the Z4, the sDrive28i, which will be powered by the 2.0-litre TwinPower turbocharged engine. This is the first time BMW is offering the Z4 with a 2 liter engine. The world debut of the BMW Z4 sDrive28i will take place at the 2011 NY auto show.
BMW's Z4 sDrive28i has a supercharged 4-cylinder petrol engine with an all-aluminum crankcase that delivers 176 kW/240 bhp. Thanks to a High Precision Injection system and a turbocharger powered via two exhaust ducts, the BMW Z4 sDrive28i is able to offer improved fuel consumption. The new engine of the Z4 sDrive28i also features a variable camshaft control system double VANOS and a fully variable valve control system VALVETRONIC.
BMW will announce the Z4 sDrive28i price and date when it will go on sale later.
