Bentley Turbo R Info

 »  »  »

Our British sources are reporting today that Bentley might bring back the Turbo R. Although there's not much info on the new Turbo R at the moment, Bentley is expected to put it on sale sometime in 2013. The first Bentley Turbo R was produced in the 1980s and 1990s and was based on the turbocharged version of the Mulsanne from that period. Basically, the Bentley's Turbo R was a luxury muscle car.

The new Bentley Turbo R will be based on the current generation Bentley Mulsanne. It will be a two-door coupe model, and it will be powered by a 6750cc twin-turbocharged V8 engine, developing 512PS and a mind-blowing 1020 Nm of torque. The new Turbo R will probably get Bentley's ZF 8-Speed automatic transmission and a rear-wheel-drive system.

In terms of design, the front end of the Bentley Turbo R will be practically identical to the one of the Mulsanne. The changes will be obvious in its rear end, as the Turbo R will get a much more coupe-like line.

We'll have more details on the Bentley Turbo R as soon as they're available.
