Bentley revealed today the Flying Spur V8, which comes as an entry level version of the luxury sedan. Up until today, Bentl4ey was offering the Continental Flying Spur with a W12 engine only. The Bentley Flying Spur V8 is powered by a 4.0-litre twin turbo engine that develops 507 PS (500 bhp / 373 kW) and 660 Nm of torque. With this engine, Bentley's V8 Flying Spur is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.2 seconds and to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds. With t atop speed of 183 mph (295 km/h), the V8 version of the Bentley Flying Spur is able to offer a maximum range of 520 miles (840 km) on a single tank of fuel. To improve the fuel efficiency of the Flying Spur, Bentley equips it with cylinder deactivation, intelligent thermal management and electrical recuperation.

Just as the W12, the V8 Flying Spur comes equipped with a permanent all-wheel-drive system and a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission.

The equipment list of the Bentley Flying Spur V8 includes an independent computer-controlled air suspension, "figure of eight" chromed exhaust tailpipes, black grilles, a Touch Screen Remote, and an extensive Rear Seat Entertainment system. Bentley also equips the Flying Spur V8 a single-piece three-person rear seat, single front armrest, and 19-inch alloys. The Bentley Flying Spur V8 Mulliner features diamond quilting, a knurled gear lever, drilled alloy pedals, a leather headlining, 20-inch wheels, and fully adjustable seats with lumbar support and seat heating.
