Horntones, a California-based company, this month launched its FX-550 system that will be available from $249 from the Horntones Web site. A high-end system is priced at $499.
With the Horntones FX-550 system, an MP3-enabled "horn enhancer," songs can be downloaded
from the Horntones Web site in sets of nine tones and grouped into themes, including Christmas, Reggae and Tailgate. You call up whatever tone suits your mood, and the files are uploaded via a USB connection.
