The first speculations of the Citroen DS4 Racing - the hard core version of the French hatch - have started to surface. The British press believes the French carmaker is already developing the Citroen DS4 Racing which will be put against the Golf R and the Megane RS. The Citroen DS4 Racing will be built in the same spirit as the DS3 R, which went on sale at the beginning of this month. This means the Citroen DS4 R will features various styling upgrades, including a new aerodynamics package, new rims, and a higher quality interior.
Apart from the Citroen DS4 Racing, the same sources believe the new DS3 will also get a performance version that will compete against the Golf GTI. This version of the Citroen DS4 will
get the 1.6 THP engine that will be upgraded to 200 hp. This is the same powerplant as the one used in the Peugeot RCZ. The Citroen DS4 Racing will probably get even more power than 200 hp, which will go to the front wheels. If this will be the case, the torque steer problem will definitely surface. This means the carmaker will probably have to also offer an improved suspension with the Citroen DS4 Racing in order to minimize its effect.
