According to recent reports, the French carmaker is preparing a new version of its latest hatch - the Citroen DS3 Cabrio which is set to go head-to-head against the Mini Convertible. As the Mini, the Citroen DS3 Cabrio will have a soft-top retractable roof. At this point it's not known for certain if the Citroen DS3 Cabrio will have a power assisted roof or if it will require some manual labor.
The engine line-up offered by the Citroen DS3 Cabrio will be identical to the one on the hard-top version. This means the Citroen DS3 Cabrio will be offered with a choice between two diesel engines developing 90bhp and 110bhp and three petrol units (VTi 95, the VTi 120 and the THP 150). The power will be sent to the front wheels
via a 5-speed or a 6-speed manual gearboxes.
The Citroen DS3 R Cabrio performance version is out of the question at this moment, as implied by company officials. The Citroen DS3 Cabrio price is expected to go up w few thousand Euros in comparison to the standard version.
