After being one of the firsts to review the new Citroen DS3R, the British journalists from Evo Magazine have released a more in depth test video of the French hot hatch. Chris Harris reviews the new Citroen DS3R, the performance version of the DS3, on a number of curvy country roads. Price at just under 30,000 EUR, the Citroen DS3R might seem a bit intimidating for the regular, young, hot hatch buyer. However, for the rather high price, you do get 200 hp and 275Nm of torque from a 1.6-litre THP engine. And even more than that, it's got a turbo. Actually, the Citroen DS3R comes with upgraded turbochargers, a newly developed exhaust system and a reprogrammed ECU unit.
For better handling in the corners, the French
engineers fitted the Citroen DS3R with a stiffer, lower suspension and bigger brakes.
