The British Car Magazine has published today the first details and official images of the De Macross GT1 - a new supercar coming from Canada. The De Macross GT1 is being produced by the De Macross Motors Corp (DMMC), and is currently in its early stages of development. In fact, the vehicle shown in this images is actually a 1/4 scale model of the full De Macross GT1 supercar.

The power of the De Macross GT1 will come from a 5.4-litre V8 engine produced by North American company Roush Yates Racing Engines. If you're not familiar with this company, you just have to know they also provide the engines for Ford's NASCAR activators. This means the De Macross GT1 will have some serious muscle under that skin.

The De Macross GT1 will be built on a carbon fiber and aluminum chassis for a low weight. The suspension of the De Macross GT1 will features Multimatic F1 dampers, which is also helping out with the development of the new supercar.

The goal of the company developing the De Macross GT1 is to produce a hypercar with the same level of performance, and price, as a Pagani Zonda. We say, that's a pretty high standard and we hope they can pull it off.

The De Macross GT1 is funded by a Korean businessman named Jahong Hur. The first prototype is expected to be complete in November this year with the first orders being accepted next year.

We'll have more details on the De Macross GT1 supercar as soon as they become available.
