Honda announced today the Accord Hybrid's price for the United States market, where it will go on sale at the end of October. The new Honda Accord Hybrid is powered by a 2.0-liter engine and an electric motor and it promises to offer a 50 mpg EPA fuel economy in the city, 45 mpg on the highway and 47 mpg on the combined cycle. Honda is going to sell the Hybrid Accord with the LaneWatch blind spot display system, a rearview camera, LED DRLs, Bluetooth/USB connectivity, dual-zone automatic climate control and a 160 Watt audio system. Some of the safety systems available for the Accord Hybrid include Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW). The optional extras list available for the Hybrid Accord include leather seats, a moonroof, a navigation system, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and a hard disk drive (HDD).

The Honda Accord Hybrid's price list starts at $29,155 (MSRP) for the base model and it goes up to $34,905 (MSRP) for the top of the range Touring version. These prices do not include the $790 handling and destination charge. Honda is going to sell the Accord Hybrid a 3-year/36,000-mile Limited Vehicle Warranty, a 5-year/60,000-mile Powertrain Limited Warranty, and a 5-year/unlimited-mile Corrosion Limited Warranty. The Accord's hybrid battery pack is covered by an 8-year/100,000-mile or 10-year/150,000 mile limited warranty.
