The I.DE.A Institute has premiered at this year's Geneva auto show the IDEA SOFIA 4-seater sedan which has been designed to be powered by a hybrid drivetrain. The IDEA SOFIA keeps the spirit of the company's previous concept, the ERA, which was also premiered in Geneva last year.
The IDEA SOFIA is inspired by the figure of a woman, with glance and elegance, that, in the word of the company wears a "a glamorous red dress". The IDEA SOFIA is purely a design exercise which might never see the light of day as a production car. The IDEA SOFIA features sculpted front and rear wings and has a set of specially designed front and rear light clusters.
The IDEA SOFIA aims to embody Italian styling and beauty.
As a guide, the IDEA SOFIA is designed to take under its hood an 8-cylinder engine with front or rear-wheel drive or a an endothermic engine combined with an electrical alternator / actuator.
