The Indy Racing League is in talk with Dallara Automobili, DeltaWing, Lola and Swift Engineering for designing the IZOD IndyCar Series chassis which will hit the track in 2012. Swift Engineering has unveiled their take on the 2012 IZOD IndyCar race car with which they hope to finalize the deal.

The aerodynamics of the Swift 2012 IZOD IndyCar race car have been developed with the help of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and various wind tunnel designs. To get various driver feedback and performance data collection from the 2012 IZOD IndyCar race car the company plans to use the Cruden 3Ctr 6-DOF motion racing simulator.

As seen from the images, the 2012 IZOD IndyCar race car offers the possibility of using various body types involving different aerodynamics situations.
