Infiniti JX Info

New Infiniti JX info has just surfaced the web as the Japanese brand has registered the trademark names JX20, JX25, JX25h and JX30. The Infiniti JX trademark, including the JX20, JX25, JX25h and JX30 names, has been registered with both the United states and Canadian authorities. Judging from the names of the brand's current models, the Infiniti JX may be an SUV / crossover of some sort, as with the FX and QX.

The numbers attached to the Infiniti JX names may indicate the engine powering the various versions. The Infiniti JX20 may get a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine while the Infiniti JX25 will get a 2.5-liter V6 engine. The new Infiniti JX might get a diesel version, with the JX30 having a 3.0-liter engine and a hybrid with the JX25h.

The hybrid Infiniti JX25h will probably get a 2.5-liter petrol engine coupled with an electric motor. The exact power output and performance figures of the new models is not known yet.

Having in mind the latest models released by the brand's mother company, Nissan, we can speculated that the new Infiniti JX will be based on the Nissan Juke. However, the new crossover will try to hit a slightly higher spot on the market than the Nissan.

The Infiniti JX will probably get a choice between a two-wheel-drive system and a 4WD with both manual and automatic transmissions.

The fact that the company has registered the Infiniti JX trademark does not necessarily mean they will use it. It's there just in case.

We'll have more details on the new Infiniti JX model range as soon as they become available.
