Jaguar released today the details and images of the 2012 XF facelift, together with its performance version, the 2012 XFR facelift. Jaguar will debut the 2012 XF and XFR facelift at this year's New York auto show. In terms of design, the most obvious new feature of the Jaguar XF facelift are the headlights, which are slimmer and now integrate LED daytime running lights. Jaguar gave the XF facelift, and the 2012 XFR for that matter, a lower bonnet line, a wider power bulge and new front bumper.
The front wings of the Jaguar XF facelift now have two new air vents, while its rear shows re-designed tail lamps which now feature LED technology.
At the interior, the facelifted Jaguar XF and XFR have a new steering wheel, revised switchgear for the ventilation systems and new color dashboard screens.
With the 2012 XF facelift, Jaguar will offer for the first time a 2.2-litre common rail 4-cylinder diesel engine, which outputs 190 PS and 332 lbs ft of torque, that's mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox. The 2012 Jaguar XF facelift 2.2 diesel will come with a Stop-Start system and promises to offer a fuel economy of up to 50 mpg and a 149 g/km CO2 emissions level.
Jaguar is now offering, with the XF Diesel S facelift, a new aerodynamic styling and the same adaptive dynamic suspension as the one on the XFR facelift. Jaguar's 2012 XF Diesel S will also get the 'R' performance interior.
As far as the 2012 Jaguar XFR facelift is concerned, the company made a few aerodynamics tweaks. Its bonnet shows a set of cooling vents, while the front bumper features three deep airdams. The Jaguar XFR facelift also comes with new side skirts, a new rear bumper with an integrated diffuser and 20-inch wheels.
The price list for the 2012 Jaguar XF facelift model range starts at 30,950 GBP for the 4-cylinder model and goes up to 49,950 GBP for the top of the range, V8 petrol version.
The Jaguar XFR facelift price starts at 65,350 GBP.
