Jaguar XJC in the works

The new Jag XJ has just been unveiled and already there are speculations that a 2010 Jaguar XJ Coupe version, or Jaguar XJC, is in the works. apparently, Jag's Design Director, Ian Callum, has stated that his team has already made the first sketches of the new Jaguar XJC. The rumor goes on to say the new Jaguar XJC will be equipped with a glass roof and 21 inch rims and that it aims to take the throne from the Mercedes CL.

The first version of the Jaguar XJC was based on the Series Two Jaguar XJ, but had a shorter wheelbase and was produced towards the end of the 1970s. The first incarnation of the Jaguar XJC however, was sold in small numbers. Will Jaguar dare it again?
