Lamborghini revealed today in Frankfurt the Super Trofeo Stradale, which is the most extreme Gallardo ever built. The Lamborghini Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale is powered by a V10 engine developing 570 hp (419 kW) at 8,000 rpm and 540 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. Apart from having more power than the standard Gallardo, Lambo's new LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale is also 70 kg lighter, having a maximum dry weight of 1340 kilograms. This gives it a power-to-weight ratio of 2.35 kilograms per horsepower. Lamborghini's official performance figures say that the Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale is able to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 3.4 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 10.4 seconds. The top speed of the new Gallardo 'Superleggera' is rated at 320 km/h.

The engine of the new Lambo Gallardo Stradale sends its power to the permanent all-wheel drive system via a robotised e-gear six-speed transmission, which comes with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. This gearbox features a launch control function, named Thrust Mode.

The new Gallardo Stradale is based on Lamborghini's single make race car, which competes in the Blancpain Super Trofeo championship. For instance, they same exactly the same engine, so you'll drive around town with a full blown racing engine under your hood.

The LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale also has the same rear spoiler as the racer, which in some conditions, offers up to three times the load of the regular model. This new rear spoiler can be adjusted manually for optimum traction on the rear axle. Other competition born features of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Stradale include a quick-release removable engine hood made from carbon composite materials, which is also the stuff used for building the new rear wing.

The new Lamborghini Gallardo Stradale comes in a Rosso Mars (red) exterior paint job, and features various black accents which contrast with exposed

carbon fiber. The Gallardo Stradale features a minimalistic interior, with an Alcantara upholstery, various carbon trim parts, including the steering wheel and handbrake, and monocoque racing seats.

The Lamborghini Gallardo Stradale features a double aluminum wishbone suspension, rack-and-pinion steering, ultra-lightweight 19-inch wheels (13 kg each), titanium sturdy wheel bearings and bolts and Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.

Of course, such a beast requires some monster brakes. Lambo fitted the Gallardo Stradale with 365 mm and 356 mm discs for the front and rear axle respectively, which can be swapped upon request with 380 mm and 356 mm carbon ceramic ones. The Gallardo Stradale also gets an ESP stability control system for the not so talented drivers.

The options list of the Gallardo Stradale also includes same racing parts, such as a tubular interior roll cage, 4-point safety belts and a fire extinguisher. For increased comfort, Lamborghini can fit the new Gallardo Stradale with satellite navigation, Bluetooth, an anti-theft system, and a lifting system for the nose of the supercar.

The Lamborghini Gallardo Stradale price has not been announced yet, but the Italian supercar manufacturer says it will only build 150 of them.
