Apparently, the Toyota owned brand will launch the front-wheel-drive Lexus RX 450h FWD together with a new special edition called Platinum. The front-wheel-drive Lexus RX 450h FWD will be powered by the same hybrid system which includes a 3.5-liter V6 gas engine as part of the company's Hybrid Drive system. The power output of the Lexus RX 450h FWD will remain the same - 295 hp. However ,the performance figures of the front-wheel-drive Lexus RX 450h FWD will drop to 8.2 seconds to 100 km/h rather than the 7.8 the 4x4 version manages. The top speed of the Lexus RX 450h FWD will be limited to 180 km/h.
The front-wheel-drive RX450h will still offer you the possibility to choose between three driving modes, gas, electric or hybrid.
The Lexus RX 450h FWD price and availability have not yet been made public.
The Lexus RX 450h Platinum will be the new top of the range trim level, which will include a panoramic glass roof, a Mark Levinson multimedia system, leather upholstery and a head-up display for the driver.
