Lincoln revealed today the production version of the MKZ concept, which had its world debut at the beginning of this year. The new Lincoln MKZ (2013) will be shown in public for the first time later this week, at the 2012 NY auto show. The 2013 Lincoln MKZ will be available with a choice between three different powertrains, including a hybrid one. Lincoln's entry level 2013 MKZ will come with a 2.0-liter engine developing 240 hp and 270 lb.-ft of torque (FWD: 22 mpg city
/ 33 mpg highway). If you're looking for a more powerful version of the MKZ (2013), Lincoln is also offering a 3.7-liter V6 version, which is good for 300 hp and 277 lb.-ft, of torque (AWD: 18 mpg city / 26 mpg highway). The 2013 Lincoln MKZ hybrid is powered by the 2.0-liter I4 engine, which works together with an electric motor.

The total output of the 2013 MKZ hybrid is rated at 188 hp and 129 lb.-ft. of torque (internal combustion engine only).

The most striking design feature of the new Lincoln MKZ (2013) is its Retractable Panoramic Roof. Made of glass, the 15.2-square-foot roof is one of the largest on any production vehicle. The 2013 MKZ features Lincoln trademark front fascia, with LED DRLs, and the split-wing front grille. At the interior, the Lincoln's 2013 MKZ features a five-button interface which replaces the gearbox shift lever, a full-color 10.1-inch LCD instrument cluster, and SYNC with MyLincoln Touch and an 8-inch LCD touch screen.



For entertainment purposes, Lincoln will sell the new MKZ (2013) with a THX II Certified Car Audio System with 700 watts, 14 channels and 14 speakers.

The 2013 MZK is equipped with Lincoln Drive Control system, which integrates the Continuously Controlled Damping (CCD) adjustable suspension, electric power-assisted steering (EPAS), engine, transmission, Active Noise Control (ANC), traction control and stability control systems. The Lincoln Drive Control offers three settings for the 2013 MKZ, which include Sport, Normal and Comfort. For increased safety, Lincoln equips the new 2013 MKZ with various camera- and radar-based driving aids, such as a Lane Keeping System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Warning with Brake Support and the Blind Spot Information System (BLIS).
