Lotus announced today the name of their new 2+2 sportscar, unveiled last week under the project name Eagle - the Lotus Evora. The Lotus Evora is powered by a 3.5-litre V6 engine that is good for 280 PS and a top speed of 160 mph. The new Lotus Evora will be able to get from 0 to 60 mph in 5.0 seconds.

Designed in-house by Lotus, the Evora will be sold in both a two seat configuration and a 2+2 one. In the two seat Lotus Evora the extra space will be used for luggage storage.'

Among the equipment of the Lotus Evora there's Bluetooth hands-free telephone, a 7in touch-screen and satellite navigation a removable hard-drive and an MP3 player.

The Lotus Evora price has not been announced yet, but only 2000 units will be hand-built each year.
