Maxximus, a North American company, announced a new supercar recently, called the Prodigy, which will run on LNG, or Liquid Natural Gas. The Maxximus Prodigy supercar will be powered by a proprietary 330 ci engine, equipped with twin turbochargers, which will develop 2,000 hp. In terms of performance, Maxximus says that the Prodigy supercar will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.1 seconds and to go from 0 to 100 mph and back to 0 in just 8.9 seconds.

Maxximus will build the Prodigy on a carbon fiber and Chromalloy chassis, and the new supercar will have a carbon body too. The engine of the Prodigy supercar features several innovations, such as Digital valve technology, which reduces the friction inside the engine, which in turn,

reduces power loss. The new powertrain will feature a CNC billet block and heads, 4 valves per cylinder, and LNG direct injection.

The engine of the Maxximus Prodigy will send the power to the hybrid all-wheel-drive system via a 6-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. The Maxximus Prodigy will be equipped with carbon ceramic brakes, ceramic wheel bearings, a height adjustable suspension system and an active front wing, controlled by the on-board computer.

The Maxximus Prodigy will feature all the comforts you would expect from a supercar. It will come with a Macintosh sound system, satellite navigation, and climate control.

The Maxximus Prodigy price is expected to be set at around the $1 million USD mark. Watch a video presentation of the Prodigy supercar lower down this page.
