Mazda revealed the Hazumi concept at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The Mazda Hazumi previews the future 2016 Mazda2, which is scheduled to go on sale sometime next year. The Mazda Hazumi, and consequently the 2016 Mazda2, measures 4,070 mm in length, 1,730 in width, 1,450 mm in height and it has a 2,585 mm long wheelbase. The power comes from SKYACTIV-D 1.5 engine mated to a SKYACTIV-Drive 6-speed automatic transmission. The Mazda Hazumi is equipped with i-stop (idle-stop system) and i-ELOOP (brake energy regeneration system). The 2016 Mazda2 is also going to be sold with a SKYACTIV-D 2.2-litre engine, which promises to offer a CO2 emissions level of under 90 g/km. The Hazumi, and the 2016 Mazda2 are equipped with the MZD Connect connectivity system, and a Head-Up display.
In terms of safety, the Hazumi comes with the Mazda Proactive Safety systems. Its equipment list also includes an Active Driving Display.
