Various sources are reporting today that a Mercedes AMG Hybrid is actually a possibility for the future generations of the German performance model. Don't think they'll use the hybrid powertrain to boost the performance of the Mercedes C63 AMG. The Mercedes AMG Hybrid will actually use its 'green' cells to improve the efficiency, reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The future Mercedes AMG Hybrid will also employ the help of such planet saving technologies as Start / Stop and energy recuperation systems.
Apparently, sources inside Daimler said they are working on the development of a Mercedes AMG Hybrid version as a way to reduce its environmental impact.
Let's hope that's they only thing they'll reduce and that the a hypothetical Mercedes AMG Hybrid would deliver the same levels of 'fun' as the current version.
No technical details of the Mercedes AMG Hybrid are available yet, but we'll keep you posted with every development of this story.
