Polyphony Digital, the creators of the GranTurismo video game series, revealed today the new Mercedes AMG Vision Gran Turismo Racing Series. The Mercedes AMG Vision Gran Turismo Racing Series is going to be features in the GranTurismo 6 video game, which is available on PlayStation. The Mercedes AMG Vision Racing is powered by the 5.5-liter V8 biturbo engine, which has been upgraded to output 591 hp. The engine is mated to a sequential transmission with dog links. The creators of the video game envisioned a stripped out version of the Mercedes AMG Vision Gran Turismo, which weighs 1,300 kg. This is 85 kg lighter than the original car. The racing version of the Mercedes AMG Vision comes with a lowered ride height and a huge fixed rear wing.
The original Mercedes AMG Vision comes with an active rear wing. The Mercedes AMG Vision Gran Turismo Racing is equipped with traditional side mirrors, which replace Merc's CCD cameras. The rear brake light has been replaced with the GranTurismo logo.
