Mercedes revealed last weekend the most powerful C class they have ever built - the C63 AMG Coupe Black Series. Merc's official specifications say that the new C63 AMG Coupe Black develops 380 kW (517 hp) at 6800 rpm and 620 Nm of torque at 500 rpm from the well known 6208 cc engine. In terms of performance, the C63 Coupe Black is able to get from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.2 seconds. Mercedes did not disclose the top speed of the C63 Coupe Black, but we bet it could reach the 300 km/h, if it's not electronically limited to 250 km/h. The USA version of the Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe Black is rated with a slightly lower output of 510 hp at 6,800 rpm and 457 lb-ft of torque at 5,200 rpm.
Apart from the extra power, the C63 Coupe Black
also comes with an adjustable AMG coil-over sports suspension, a high-performance compound braking system and an optional Track Package. Merc's Track Package for the C63 Coupe Black is meant to further enhance the car's driving dynamics. It includes sports tires, active rear-axle transmission cooling, and new aerodynamics. The Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe Black Track Package is equipped with flics, a functionally tuned front splitter and an adjustable carbon-fiber rear aerofoil.
The C63 AMG Coupe Black comes as standard with KEYLESS-GO, a fire extinguisher, the Intelligent
Light System ILS, tinted side and rear windows, an interior carbon-fiber trim and the AMG Exterior Carbon-Fiber package. This means that the C63 AMG Coupe Black features the following parts, which are made from genuine carbon-fiber: cross strut in front apron, exterior mirror housings, side sill panel inserts, a diffuser insert and a spoiler lip.
Mercedes premiered the C63 AMG Coupe Black at last weekend's Formula 1 Grand Prix which took place on the Nurburgring circuit. The launch of the new high performance model will take place in January 2012.
The Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe Black price list will start at 115,430 Euros. Mercedes did not announce yet how much it will cost on the USA and UK markets.
