A Daimler insider told the German press the company is planning to bring on the market the new Mercedes CLC and the Mercedes C Class facelift in the spring of 2011. The 2011 Mercedes C Class facelift and the new Mercedes CLC will be built at the company's plant in Bremen, Germany, and their production will create a considerable number of new jobs.
The same source also announced the company will stop the production of the Mercedes CLC in Brazil. The Mercedes CLC will only be built at the same plant in Germany. However, the Brazilian plant will not be closed, because Mercedes has received a loan from the government with the condition the plant will be kept working at least until 2016. If Mercedes closes the facility they will have to return this loan and it will be too expensive.
