Nissan Juke Nismo concept has been revealed today, ahead of its debut which will take place tomorrow at the 2011 Tokyo Auto Show. Nissan's new Nismo Juke concept features new aerodynamics, a more powerful engine, and various other upgrades. Nissan mentions only that the Nismo Juke has a 1.6-litre direct injection, turbocharged petrol "tuned engine", but its exact output is a closely guarded secret at the moment. The 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration time and the top speed of the new Juke Nismo are a mystery.

In terms of design, Nissan’s Nismo Juke is wider and sits closer to the tarmac than the standard version. The Juke Nismo targets a younger audience, made of car enthusiasts who want something different.

The new body kit of the Juke Nismo concept is designed to aerodynamically efficient. It includes a new front and rear bumpers bumper, side skirts, wider fenders, a rood spoiler and a rear diffuser. The Nissan Juke Nismo also comes with new side mirrors, which have been re-designed to optimize airflow around the compact crossover.

The Nismo Juke sits on 19-inch alloys, and it features a stiffer chassis, with a lower center of gravity. This should improve the crossover's handling and increase it cornering speeds.

At the interior, the Nissan Juke Nismo Concept features bespoke steering wheel, pedals, gauges, shifter knob and door trims. IT also comes with sport bucket seats, of course. A special touch is the red, illuminated tachometer.

The Nissan Juke Nismo price and availability will be announced at a later date. Meanwhile, you can watch it on video lower down this page.
