Nissan released today the first images and details of the Juke Nismo's production version. The world premiere of the Nissan Juke Nismo is going to take place during the Le Mans 24 hour this weekend (13th to 17th June). Nissan says it will put the Nismo Juke on sale in January 2013, but they did not announce its price yet. The United States in Japan markets will get the Nismo Juke at a later date. Nissan's Nismo Juke is inspired by the carmaker's Japanese motorsport heritage. The Nismo Juke comes with new aerodynamics, which include lower front and rear bumpers, side skirts, wider wheel arches, a new grille and a roof spoiler. Nissan says that the new body kit of the Juke Nismo is able to reduce lift on both axles, while not creating additional drag.

This will probably increase the Juke's stability and handling at high speeds. The Juke Nismo's handling is also improved by its 18-inch alloys and its wider tires.

The Juke Nismo's engine continues to be the standard 1.6-litre direct injection turbocharged petrol unit said to be enhanced with a tuned-up. However, Nissan does not mention exactly what this tune-up consists of. Does the Juke Nismo get more power, better efficiency? The Juke Nismo benefits from a stiffer suspension, improved traction control and torque vectoring. Its steering system has also been modified to offer a more direct response.

At the interior, the Nissan Juke Nismo is equipped with redesigned steering wheel, pedals, gauges, gear knob and door trims. It also features sport seats covered in special suede.
