Nissan revealed at the 2013 LA Auto Show the new Juke Nismo RS, which is scheduled to go on sale early next year. The Nissan Juke Nismo RS is going to be available with a FWD and an AWD system. Both versions of the Juke Nismo RS are powered by the same 1.6-liter DOHC turbocharged and intercooled engine with 16-valves and sequential Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG). Nissan rates the Nismo Juke RS with a power output of 215 hp at 6,000 rpm and 210 lb-ft of torque between 3,600 rpm and 4,800 rpm. The FWD version of the Juke Nismo RS comes with a helical limited-slip differential and a 6-speed manual transmission. The AWD version of the Juke Nismo RS is equipped with an Xtronic CVT transmission, a standard differential, and an Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system with torque vectoring.

The 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration time of the Nismo Juke RS and its top speed are going to be announced at a later date.

The AWD system of the Nissan Juke Nismo RS is able to split the torque in a 50:50 ratio between the front and the rear axle, and it can shift it from side to side for the rear axle too (50:50).

In comparison to the regular Nismo, the Juke Nismo RS comes equipped with bigger brakes, Recaro front seats, carbon fiber interior trim parts, and suede, Alcantara and leather appointments.

Visually, the Juke Nismo RS distinguishes itself form the rest of the pack through the new front spoiler, the side skirts, the rear diffuser and the roof spoiler.
