Porsche released today the first official images of the Macan, showing their new small SUV virtually undisguised. The Porsche Macan is scheduled for debut at the 2013 Los Angeles auto show and it will probably go on sale at the beginning of next year. Early reports indicate that Porsche plans to price the Macan starting from around 50,000 USD. Even though the German sports car manufacturer did not disclose any technical specifications regarding the Macan, there are a few reports that say it's going to be available with a choice between two engines. The entry level Macan is going to be powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, while the top of the range model will have a 3.6-liter V6 twin-turbo with 395 bhp and 550 Nm of torque.

Porsche rates the Macan with a combined fuel consumption of 9.2 - 6.1 l/100km and a 216 -159 g/km CO2 emissions level. Some sources say that there's going to be a Porsche Macan diesel too. This version of the SUV is expected to be powered by a 3.0-liter V6 engine with 254 bhp.

We'll have more details and photos of the Macan as soon as Porsche makes them available.
