Porsche Panamera Turbo vs Mercedes CL63 AMG Video

 »  »  »

In the latest episode of Fifth Gear, TV presenters and race car drivers Tiff Needell and Jason Plato put the Porsche Panamera Turbo against the new, 2011 Mercedes CL63 AMG. Although the Porsche Panamera Turbo is a four-door luxury saloon and the 2011 Mercedes CL63 AMG is a two door coupe, the two cars appeal to the same general market segment so, the comparison is well founded. The new 2011 Mercedes CL63 AMG is powered by the new 5.5-liter V8 biturbo engine developing 571 hp and 900 Nm of torque. The Porsche Panamera Turbo is powered by a smaller 4.8-litre V8 twin-turbo engine and is also down on power, with "just" 500bhp and 700Nm of torque.

To compare the Porsche Panamera Turbo with the

2011 Mercedes CL63 AMG, Fifth Gear gets the help of two other professional race car drivers, Johnny Herbert and Karun Chandhok.
