Roding, a German car manufacturer, announced today that their new Roadster will be introduced at the 2012 Geneva auto show. Roding's Roadster has a mid-engine rear-wheel-drive architecture, and it's powered by a 6-cylinder turbocharged engine developed by BMW. The Roadster is built upon a carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP), which offers it stiffness as well as lightweight. The car weighs just 950 kg.

In terms of performance, Roding says that their new roadster develops 320 hp and 450 Nm of torque, which means it has a power-to-weight ratio of 3 kg / hp. They also say that the Roadster is able to pull up to 1.4 G during cornering. The Roadster's engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission and a limited slip differential with a 40% locking ratio.

For good handling characteristics, Roding equips their Roadster with an adjustable, fully independent suspension with double wishbones.

We'll have more details about the Roding Roadster as the time of its premiere, next month.
