Suzuki Kizashi Apex

Apart from the hybrid Kizashi, Suzuki announced a second debut for this year's New York auto show, the Apex concept. The Suzuki Kizashi Apex is actually a turbocharged version of the standard model, which develops between 275hp and 300 hp. Suzuki equipped the Kizashi Apex with a Garrett/Honeywell 2871 R ball bearing turbo, and an internally wastegated 0.86 A/R turbine housing. The turbine housing is cast from high-nickel material called Ni-Resist while the wheel is cast from lightweight iconel materials. The Kizashi Apex also features an oil and water cooled bearing system.

With all this gear under its hood, Suzuki's Kizashi Apex concept develops 8.5 psi of maximum boost.

The concept is equipped with a six-speed manual transmission, and an air-to-liquid intercooler.

For a more dramatic look, and possibly a few extra horsepower, Suzuki also equipped the Apex Kizashi with a free flowing true dual exhaust system.

Suzuki does not mention if the Kizashi Apex will ever make it into production.
