Suzuki announced today that they're going to premiere three new concepts at the 2013 Tokyo Auto Show. The new concepts are the Suzuki X-LANDER, the Suzuki Crosshiker and the Suzuki HUSTLER. The Suzuki X-LANDER is a 4WD hybrid off-road vehicle that's aimed mostly at an urban life style. The X-LANDER is based on the Suzuki Jimny and it is powered by a 1.3-liter engine, which is mated to a newly developed automatically controlled manual transmission. Apart from the internal combustion engine, the Suzuki X-LANDER is also equipped with an electric motor, which is integrated into the four-wheel-drive system. The Suzuki HUSTLER aims to combine a crossover and a mini. IT is designed for customers who love the nature, love the outdoors, and love sports.
The Suzuki Crosshiker previews a future compact crossover that weighs just 810 kg. The Crosshiker is also powered by the new 1.3-liter engine.
Apart from the three new concepts, the X-LANDER, the Crosshiker and the HUSTLER, Suzuki will also put on display in Tokyo the iV-4 SUV concept, the ET4D, the Recursion, the EXTRIGGER and the new Hayabusa motorcycle.
