Vauxhall launched today the Astra GTC BiTurbo, which is currently the most powerful non-VXR model in the range. The Vauxhall Astra GTC BiTurbo is powered by a 2.0-liter CDTi 4-cylinder diesel engine, which puts out 195PS and 400Nm of torque. The Astra GTC BiTurbo is rated with a 0-60mph acceleration time of 7.8 seconds and with a top speed of 139mph. The new hot hatch promises to offer a 53.3mpg combined fuel economy and a 139g/km CO2 emissions level. The high mileage comes partially courtesy of the Start/Stop system, which is standard on this new model. The equipment list of Vauxhall's BiTurbo Astra GTC includes 18-inch alloys, Electronic Climate Control, a new body kit, the Track interior trim and a flat-bottomed leather steering wheel. The ride height of the GTC BiTurbo is 6mm lower in comparison to other versions of the model.
The Vauxhall Astra GTC BiTurbo's price starts at £23,925 GBP. If you want the Driver Assistance Pack, you'll have to pay an extra £750. This will get you the Forward Collision Alert, the Lane Departure Warning system, Traffic Sign Recognition and the Following Distance Indicator.
