Video: Buemi Hits Spectator With Toro Rosso F1 Car

 »  »  »

Toro Rosso and their driver, Sebastian Buemi, gave a special Formula 1 representation on the Chiba race track in Japan. The event was meant to benefit the victims of the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan in March. While Buemi was driving his F1 race car, a spectator decided it was a good moment to cross the track. Unfortunately, people are not very good at outrunning an F1 car and he got hit by Buemi's racer. If you watch the clip closely, you'll notice that in the last moment before the impact, the spectator actually tries to jump over the Toro Rosso single-seater.

Buemi was driving slowly at the time of incident, so the spectator suffered only minor injuries. Apparently he was part of the staff and at this time, his intentions have not been clarified.

Buemi refused to make any comments regarding the incident, but he was not pleased with the track's security.
